This is the first IN PERSON event the RCCSS(C) has hosted since February of 2020. As it will be a “Practical Session” there will be a huge amount of attendee involvement and participation, and although the event will be recorded for those who cannot attend in person, or live too far away, in person attendance is strongly ​encouraged.

8:45 am – 9:00 am (ET)

Sign In/Log On and Outline of days activities
Each speaker will show 3-4 Clinical Pearls over 2 hours

5 minute review of cases/when to use it

5 minute demo

20 minutes practice and assistance

9:00 am – 11:00 am

Dr. Jason Pajaczkowski FRCCSS(C)

Wrist – carpal impaction – acupuncture and mobilization

Thoracic Spine – mobility exercises

Hip Mobility vs. Competency (assess the difference, provide 3 strategies for Mobility and Exercises to build Competency)

 

11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Dr. Brad Muir, FRCCSS(C)

Scapular, AC, SC drop piece EMT

Acupuncture – with vibration (upper trap, lev scap, teres major)

TMJ – vibration to m. of mastication, toggle EMT to TM, hyoid

Foot/ankle EMT – cuboid, mortise, fibular head

 

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Lunch - will be provided

 

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Assessment of UCL of elbow

EMT to radial head

Assessment of wrist - SLAC, TFCC, DRUJ

Assessment of Lisfranc Injury

Resident Requirements Checklist:

Core Academic Curriculum Requirements # 5, Sports Rounds and Observation with a Specialist:

Ontario:  CCO requirements          6 hours of structured CE
